Grid supplies opening credits for the 37th Ghent Film Festival
Grid is proud to announce that we have become the partner of the Film Festival Ghent for the coming 3 years. The 37th Ghent Film Festival deserves a new opening credits. After the racing wind hounds, the fairytale castle and the night courier, the familiar festival logo will be playing the leading role. We produced the opening credits for the first time in 3D.
A white background and lots of space. The hooves of a galloping horse ring out in the distance breaking the silence. They appear at top speed until they are almost palpably close. A black, snorting horse shoots through the picture. Streets and buildings take on an identifiable form among the ribbons of mist that the horse leaves behind in his vertiginous path. Ghent townscapes come to life…
We find all the prominent characteristics of the festival in these opening credits: the city of Ghent as a location, the important role of film music and the festival horse.
What the Ghent Film Festival and Grid share, is the combined passion for the classic film medium and audiovisual innovation. Both are extremely enthusiastic about this new partnership.
